A. Charles “Chuck” Cattano is Managing Principal at Occidental Asset Management, where he serves as Executive Director of Wealth Management & Family Office Services. His responsibilities include ensuring that Occidental’s solutions meet the sophisticated needs of the firm’s clients. His work also focuses on concentrated equity solutions, providing diversification and liquidity through tax-aware investment strategies, as well as addressing broad estate planning concerns.

Chuck brings over 30 years of experience to his role. He specializes in scenario-based planning for clients facing IPOs, business sales, and stock option complexities with the goal of ensuring that each client’s plan is informed by their broader legal, tax, and estate considerations. A lifelong learner and people person, Chuck excels at translating complex financial matters into meaningful, digestible conversations. His career began with a simple realization: Successful people need trusted advice. That insight has fueled his approach ever since.

Outside of work, the Burlingame resident enjoys skiing, tennis, golfing, backpacking, playing piano, and diving deep into books, especially history and classic literature. He’s a longtime member of the San Mateo Rotary Club and previously served on the Board of Trustees for CuriOdyssey. He and his wife, Paige, have three children.
