Manny Ortiz, MBA, CFP®, is a Managing Partner at Occidental Asset Management, where he delivers personalized financial planning and investment guidance. Whether meeting in the office, at a client’s home, or with their family, he helps clients talk through what matters most and then shapes a plan to support those priorities. He strives to use his knowledge and experience to help families protect what they’ve built, pass on their values, and create opportunities for the next generation.
With 15 years of experience, Manny began his career as a stockbroker and went on to work in portfolio management and private banking, eventually serving ultra-high-net-worth families. His experience provided a strong foundation in many financial areas, including investment strategy, tax efficiency, estate coordination, and insurance needs. He approaches each relationship holistically, making sure his advice reflects the full financial picture, not just one piece of it.
Raised in Puerto Rico by a family of entrepreneurs, Manny was inspired by their grit and sacrifice, and sees their legacy as his driving force. He lives in Winter Garden, Florida, and enjoys golf, running, live music, and cooking. A lifelong learner, he taught himself English through night classes and by watching closed-captioned episodes of Seinfeld, a show that not only taught him about the language but also about humor and culture.
